Ok ladies I forgot an important step when I was talking about new posts and navigation. When you press User CP it brings you to the screen of threads with new posts. If you press the little grey down arrow button, it will take you to the first post that you haven’t seen.

January birthday candies are in the mailbox, waiting for pick up. Hoping the first birthday girl's will arrive in time, as it just has to cross the sound!

Logcabin, I found your note about mailing envelopes for January in the 2025 Birthday Swap thread. Woops! Repost here in the 2026 thread so the January birthday swappers know you are have sent their squares and greetings.

About half of the envelopes are traveling to our January Birthday swappers! Yea! I am sure more envelopes will fall into the mail tomorrow since the holiday season is over and we are longing for the regularity of a non-holiday week. I am looking for a week with temps above 32 degrees and melting ice. Oh, I will miss the beauty of the snow, but icy is scary! Have a terrfic evening and a wonderful Monday!

Here is what I am going to be working on for the next few months to use up 2.5s. I was given a box of fall toned jelly roll strips and they are going into this quilt along with squares sent from previous swappers. I am about 1/4 done creating the large blocks and have started the 3-part sashing strips. I am pretty sure one of you, perhaps JENNR8R, used this pattern a number of years ago. The pattern has been lurking in my list of "to do's" long enough. Started it in late November but it has been sitting in pieces since mid-December.

I am sure I have seen other variations of this quilt on line but this is MY starting place and I will move on from here to consume massive amounts of 2.5's. If you discover, stumble upon or create a block or pattern that uses our little squares, please share the source, photo or link to them so we can get creative too. There is always room for more ideas.

Well I thought my new year was starting poorly since I had no heat, but the repairman came on Friday and the heat has been on ever since. $800 please... I'm so much more appreciative of the heat now that I've been without... I'll gladly pay the repair bill.

Saturday I got a call from another dealer about having my Bernina Q16 repaired. It's been broken since March 2025. The first dealer had it for six months, and it was still not working when I got it back... drumroll please... the new dealer is going to send a trained repairman to my house! I don't need to figure out how to get it dismantled and into my car and back home. I have been seriously considering giving up quilting, but now I have renewed hope.

The new year has taken a seriously-positive turn for the better.

WMUTeach, I love that pattern. I've made it once and should do it again because it uses oodles of 2.5 squares!
I'm trying to post a picture; not sure if it's going to work or not.

I received my first envelope from JulieG!...thank you! that is all so far. Julie just lives across the lake while many of you are across the country. I'm surprised my package made it to pinkflowers already.

JENNR8R, I am so happy that you are now warm and that a new dealer is willing to send a repair person to you to assess the problems with your machine. Yay! Good happenings in your neck of the woods. Don't give up on quilting! You are an inspiration.

JulieG, Are you posting from a laptop/desktop or from phone or i-pad? Wesing sent directions for posting from i-pad and I have drectections for posting from laptop. Similar but..........not the same. I can assure you that once you get this figured out, you will be posting photos easily. It took me a while, but now I can do it in my sleep.
