Ha! Ha! Ha! Yep, pretty much. And I went to college, didn't help.

The last few years that I subscribed to quilting magazines, I started noticing that the same ideas/projects seemed to circulate thru the various publications--only the colours or sizes would change. That was one of the reasons that I stopped my subscriptions.

But to showcase a pattern and then have no way for their audience to obtain it, seems like false advertising to me.

I am with Dunster on this one, I am unable to locate any magazine by the name of Quilting Daily, only the website that lists the magazines. Are you sure that you were not possibly reading the digital version 2012 version of McCalls Quilting and were just confused.

    Dunster & Tallchick,
It turns out it's McCall's Quilting magazine Mar/Apr 2026 and on the bottom of each page it says "Quilting Daily" on the bottom left and "McCall's Quilting" on the bottom right.

Still confused on how one would order this table runner pattern.

@dpendleton I'm confused. The pattern with instructions is in the McCalls spring 2026 magazine. You have posted a screenshot of the first page.

I have this magazine in Libby from my library and the instructions and photos and template are all there. What am I missing?

Janie W, I wasn't clear. I was hoping to get a hard copy of the pattern to make the table runner at a later date.

My only choices are to buy the $15 current Mar/Apr issue of McCall's Quilting magazine.

Since the pattern has been out for 14 years I assumed I could purchase it from Quilting Daily (the online retailer for McCall's products. None of the links on the website work.

I thought the quilt designer might have an active sale link on her website - not that I could find.

Only other alternative is to buy a used copy of the 2012 McCall's Quilting magazine on Etsy or eBay.

At that point I lost interest. Surely this technique has evolved and can be found elsewhere.

I guess I find it odd that McCall's would reprint this pattern without stating it's a reprint and then not making it accessible. I wonder if the designer even knows it's being reused.

    Onwards and upwards.

I have a two year subscription to a quilting mag. I definitely won't be renewing it when it runs out at the end of the year. I subscribed because I had read an old copy and liked it. However, the ones I have received this past year, it seems like it is the same old, same old quilt designs in every issue with very little variance.

If you can order the magazine, you can get the pattern. I'm not sure what I'm missing here unless you don't want to spend the $15.00. You get the pattern and the other content in the magazine. I'd consider that worth it if I wanted the pattern.

Or check your local library as suggested for a copy of the magazine.

I lucked out about 5 years ago at an auction. I purchased a bookcase full of nothing but quilting magazines dating from just before the year 1998 to 2015 for about $5 and I still am discovering patterns in them. I even gave away a large box full to my friend who quilts and didn't make a dent in the number. I will find room for it in my sewing room no matter how crowded it gets in there.
