Default Where's Toogie?

I haven't seen anything from toogie in a while. Does anyone know if she's ill or taken a break? I miss seeing her QOV.

Thank you Kalama. She's probably just busy with Christmas now

I’m just reading this- I had a fall Dec 23 and still recovering. Before that, I did take a break from making quilts, as I had about 6-8 ahead and we weren’t having anymore presentations, until after the new year. The last thing I think I made were those totes from upholstery fabric. I had to machine embroidery a couple Christmas stockings and also a Queen’s sash. This was very unusual for me to not sew regularly. I just wasn’t in the mood so I am hoping when I recover from my latest broken bone, I will have the desire again to sew. Thank you for thinking of me. It’s good to know someone cares enough to miss you- ❤️Toogie

I hope you are recovering well, Toogie. Thank you for checking in with us! What are you doing to fill your time if you aren't playing with fabric?

I’m not ‘doing’ much of anything, at least not being productive. Husband hovers over me like a hen with her biddy. I read books, look on line Or Pinterest for new quilting ideas, but that usually brings up what I have seen before, so not too much new. I like old movies and documentaries. Really, I feel like I’m wasting time. I like to have something to show at the end of a day, whether it be something I be made, or a clean house or something. It bothers me that the last few years I can’t clean house like I used to and hubby won’t agree to let someone come in to clean. It always ‘looks’ good because we pick up after ourselves and we are not hoarders ( sewing room an exception -lol) but mopping is usually something he does since my back is bad and I fall so much. One of the kids gave us the robot thing that I call Alice ( from Brady Bunch) that goes around the house sweeping. She supposed to mop too but I haven’t figured that out. Hubby complains if Alice passes over the same place twice but I love Alice. She saves me a lot of back pain.
So if you have any ideas for new quilt or sewing projects for a lady of leisure to ‘save’ for the future point me to them. I have a feeling after this is healed I’m be chomping at the bit to be creative! I hope so anyway. It looks to be a glorious day with bright sunshine here. Sunshine always lifts my spirits. Have a good day in whatever part of the world you’re in. Toogie
