As mine was mailed in TX, I think there is a problem in TX. Let's see what happens to delivery times when I mail from New Orleans in the next couple of days after the addess(es) tomorrow.

    Happy MLK, Jr Day all!

JENNR8R - what a fantastic quilt, Show-Worthy for sure! Thanks for the inspiration.

I woke up to a frosty world today here in northern Florida. It does get cold here, but not for long. Expecting a high of 55 today. The sun is out and it's a beautiful day. AND my employer is closed today - so I have the day off!

I just pulled out all my birthday envelopes from the birthday box I've been collecting them into. About to dive in! No rescue party needed, lol - I'll come up for air when it's time for coffee cup # 2. Looking forward to some candy bliss!

    Happy Birthday, Pink.
I'm so sorry my package has not arrived yet, it was sent 2 weeks ago. I can send another out if needed.

LAF2019, I see that you posted (#92) that you sent your envelopes. One arrived quickly but guess the second is taking its own sweet time to get to across country. It used to be that mail took 3 to 5 days to arrive, but now, well it is not unusual or mail to take two weeks or more. If you feel comfortable with the idea, wait for a few more days before sending a second envelop of candies. With the MLK holiday, weekends and weather surprises, your envelope may just be slow at arriving. Frustrating for you I am sure.

I spend the day watching the snow blow past my windows and pile up in the sculpted drifts. I had pity on the little birds that come to visit and put out extra seeds for them. It is so cold. Currently 5 above zero but the wind child is well below zero. Any way, I spent the day sewing blocks for one quilt and cutting out the pieces for a simple baby quilt for a neighbor. My plans to go to Shipshewana for a little fabric hunt were scuttled or perhaps I should say, "buried under some snow drift". So many large pile ups and accidents in my area!! One was of 100+ vehicles and semi trucks. My brother called and encouraged me to stay home, so I did. Lots of cups of tea and digging thought scraps and cutting squares. Likely will finish this top by the end of the week because more snow and bitter cold is forecasted through the weekend. My snug little sewing room is a good safe place to be.

Stay warm and keep the kettle on, everyone! It might be a good day to bake bread tomorrow! Yumm

LAF2019 - Let's wait till the end of the week until you send out another envelope. Maybe the mail is a bit slow.

Happy Birthday, Pinkflowers! I just returned home from quilt retreat and I think even with the time difference between Seattle and Florida it's still your birthday for 10 more minutes! I hope you had a great and joyful celebration.

I had a wonderful time at retreat and for the first time ever, sewed every single thing in my project bag. Usually I take way too much because my attention wanders but this time I took three things that have been lurking in my project bag that only goes to retreats for years and I finished all of them. I also finished piecing a baby quilt that has 256 2.5" squares! I'll try to post a picture the next day or so.

Julie -- Congratulations! That was a productive retreat! What is in your project bag now?

WMUTeach -- those wrecks sound awful! I thought folks up north knew how to drive in ice and snow. At least that is what my PA father used to tell me all the time, lol. I am glad you stayed home and safe. I know you have tons of stuff in your project bag to work on.

Wouldn't it be great if we could all meet for a retreat someone just to work on our projects together? I am dreaming of endless time and money for all of us :-).
