So many wonderful progress pictures at all stages - thank you for sharing, everyone! I love the different colourways and approaches and, as always, take off my hat to those of you who have been so focused these last couple of months!

Well, after seeing the finish and all of your beautiful flimsy's, I decided to jump in! I'm still working on the 1st clue, but hopefully in the next day or two, I will have that completed. I would have finished it sooner, but I have several appts today and tomorrow. Hope I get home before the snow and ice start, because in the south, we don't have the equipment to take care of the icy roads like in the northern states.

Off topic: I lived in Wisconsin for about 5 years, and I was very impressed with the difference in the road care during the wintertime! Of course, in the south, we have the cold weather, but not the snow in the abundance that the north does, so when it snows maybe once a year, then stays maybe 1 day, it's understandable that we don't really know how to drive in the snow. I had people to laugh at me when I lived in WI when it snowed, but I took my time driving, and didn't have any trouble, and the road crews did an amazing job there! BTW, I started quilting in Wisconsin.

I saw my surgeon today and am so relieved and overjoyed to learn that I won't need another surgery; the antibiotics took care of the problem.Our dog Emma is also on her last day of antibiotics and we hope she will now get her appetite back; she's been running away from my husband as he tries to get her to eat.

I have one more row to go (plus sewing two halves together) and my Indigo Way center will be complete! Thanks everyone for sharing your beautiful progress on Lupine and Laughter!

DebbieJJ, I spent my teenage and earlier adult years in Wisconsin, and my husband is a Minnesotan. We wish people here in Missouri would shovel their sidewalks! But apparently here, if you shovel you are liable if someone falls, whereas in Minnesota if you don't shovel you are liable.

I haven't had the chance to sew much this week so far, but over the weekend I did get the center top and bottom half completed. Just need to sew them together. I'm happy that I subbed the ice green for the ice blue. I'm playing around with how to arrange the FG for the border. Just because! One of the ideas I have is shown in the photo. Has anyone strayed, or thinking about it, from Bonnie's border design?

Love seeing everyone's progress. The quilts are coming together beautifully! I'm still plugging away as I find time. Hope to finish all the alternate blocks tomorrow and then start assembling the rows - maybe on Saturday. The excitement is building as it comes together.

Great news, Joe'smom! I hope everyone is well on their way to good health.
On the subject of driving in the snow, I was born in St. Louis but grew up in Wisconsin. Now I have been in Minnesota for nearly 45 years, and I don't think people in either state really know how to drive in the first snow of the year! People everywhere think they are better drivers than they really are. And black ice can throw anybody. One has to respect the conditions. I just try to avoid going out if I can!

I have been sick (as a dog??) since Tuesday, just in bed as a miserable coughing lump, so haven't done a thing. I still have 5 more Lupine Star blocks to go, they go fast. Then I can turn the page of my notebook and start working on putting together the borders. I had thought that the some of the geese units would be used to make sort of pinwheel sashing, and then just a single edge, but I was (once again) wrong.

I grew up and learned to drive in Alaska. I largely consider snow just another condition outside, take proper precautions and don't panic. After basically 30 years in Seattle though, I began to appreciate the whole city shutting down for just a couple of flakes of snow. For one, the people just never get enough snow to learn/practice on. For another, a lot of the cars and tires are just more marginal. Thirdly, HILLS! In Alaska hills were taken into consideration, so even if the main traffic patterns were sidewways, the up/downs still had right of way because of stopping/starting issues.

When we took our trip prior to moving part of it was to see parts of the US (like we went to Mt Rushmore), as well as to actually see what it was like here in Peoria and the other areas we had considered. I really liked Wisconsin a lot! But along with hubby's old home town of Grand Rapids, MI, hubby had ruled out Wisconsin as "too much snow". In addition the the Air BnB we stayed at, we had a lovely afternoon in Mount Horeb, the troll town.

Blocks are complete. Made it my own with a few changes to Bonnie's design / colorway. Now to start on assembling the rows and work on the border. (Partial layout)
