Life has been full these past few months, and I realize I’ve been quieter than usual. A little update to explain my absence:
My husband has been walking through the challenges of a pituitary tumor, and that has taken much of my heart and focus. At the same time, I started a new job back in April managing 35 amazing people. Right now we are in the thick of budget season, and I’ve had a crash course in accounting as I now oversee accounts payable. Let me just say—budgeters and accountants see the world completely differently!
I’ve also been navigating my own health struggles with OPLL (Ossification of the Posterior Longitudinal Ligament). I had spine surgery in 2020 that made a huge difference for my cervical spine, but the condition has now progressed to my thoracic and lumbar areas. These days my fingertips are completely numb, and some days it feels like I’m walking with cement blocks tied to my feet. It’s a daily challenge, but I’m pressing forward and learning to give myself grace.
So yes, I’ve been stretched a bit thin, and I’m grateful for your patience and understanding—I haven’t forgotten you. 💙
On a brighter note, our family has some wonderful news: grandbaby #5 is due February 11! Another sweet grandson, bringing the count to 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. My heart is so full. 💙💙💙💙💖
Through it all—the hard days, the long nights, and the unexpected blessings—I hold on to the truth that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness, and His goodness continues to shine through every chapter of my life. ✝️✨

I am missing everyone. I wonder what everyone is up to. For me it is working on my son's desert camping quilt and if I am too tired for that I do some wool applique in front of the TV. Hubby and I also travel on and off. My middle daughter is pregnant with twin boys, so we plan to go camping and help her for a bit after the boys are born. Hugs, Anna

You must be excited about getting twin grandsons Anna. i know I would be! this year I'm doing the block of the month on here and will try and do the virtual quilting weekend this year. and I'm thinking of getting The Farmers Wife Book and using that to use up my scraps. I'm also hoping to do a few trips away from home to visit old friends and family and in July I'm booked in to go to Christmas Island.Enjoy your travels

Now that sounds like fun. Is the virtual quilting weekend on here too? Do you work on your own project then? I really need to hunker down and get stuff done that is in progress. I am trying to get to at least the top completed. The quilting can wait.
Off to check out the block of the month and the virtual quilting weekend.

Hi Ladies,
Missing you all too. It has was a difficult end to 2025 and sad start to 2026 for us.
I am working on a couple of projects and I have been to a class and a couple of my groups. I do hope that someday the Secret Pal swap will come back.... I love shopping for my person, and whilst shopping for others, somehow, something for me always managed to drop into my basket too - LOL.
I wonder if Kathy is okay? Has anyone heard anything?
Sending love to you all and hopefully speak soon.
Hugs
