I am making a small quilt with some exchange blocks and then making additional blocks myself to complete the random scrappy sizes quilt. I plan to add several of these blocks. Anna

If you don't use copy paper for the PP, what is recommend to use? I know copy paper comes in different weights so would a lighter weight weight paper work. Like others it is time to get more comfy with PP. One or two blocks a month.....I can do that.

I have a pad of kids drawing paper, and was told that will work in my printer. It's nice and light, I just have not gotten around to cutting it to the correct size. You can also buy special paper for PP. Bonnie Hunter uses old telephone books for her backing paper when she does string piecing.

look for "newsprint" paper. it's the stuff they use for the kids' drawing pads. it'll work in both inkjet and laser printers and can be found in letter size.

Thanks for the ideas about paper. I have always used copy paper but someone mentioned lighter paper was better for PP. Being a former teacher and administrator, newsprint is very familiar but not as easy to find as 30 years ago. I will go a searching and keep my copy paper for other uses. Thank you every one for the paper suggestions. (Phone books make me smile. A dinosaur from the fast. I get a book that is about a half-inch thick and the print rubs off on your fingers.) Tee-hee-hee!
