Sewbiz- those are adorable. Such cute fabric!
Hubby had a doctor appt. yesterday and went to it but nobody was there. They didn't call him so I think perhaps they posted it on their website who knows. But he got back safely. He said the freeways were in good shape.
WMU- yes, I think we got a lot more snow back then. Even though I don't live there anymore I have many relatives there and the winters aren't like they were. Columbus doesn't see much snow like this. It's so pretty. My grands got hit in Virginia and had fun playing in it.
Terri- my gallbladder removal was easy peasy!
Stay warm, Roses!

Thanks for posting that pic for me, Janice. Funny but when I sent that pic, the phone gave me a size option. Posting on the website did not give me any size option. Still figuring it out...

Went with hubby to the Retina Dr. this morning (so I could drive home after he got his eye shots). The roads are clear and clean. It was 40 degrees driving home. We had to squirm out of our coats in the car.
I think we lost one of our cedar trees. Those always get hit the hardest by ice. They get so top-heavy they bow way over, or break. Ours is bowed to the ground. It may not recover.

Janice, no trees lost? 3/4" is a lot of ice! Hope your temps start to rise, too.

Glad you all liked my jar openers. Keep that in mind when you have to make a bunch of "happies" in the future. It's something everyone needs, when the jam jar lid won't budge.

Terriamn, we got out! Haven’t been anywhere but home since Thursday. DH cleared the driveway and the 40 degree temps this afternoon helped clear our little incline so we could power up it without slipping much. Where there is shade on the street leading out it’s slushy but passable. What doesn’t dry up soon will refreeze as it will be in the twenties tomorrow morning. Oh, well. Might as well get used to it because it’s going to be miserably cold for the next ten days in the am. Brrr.

Your temps are similar to ours, Janice. More cold coming... I'm happy to sit by the fire under some quilts, and knit.

SBG- love those jar openers and the fabric - very happy!
Every few years we would have the epic snow - as I child I do recall making a tunnel in one of the large piles and no one could find me.(they were not very happy about it either!!) I did learn about how warm an igloo could be!!
No snow here where we are.
I went through my garbage can of strips and snips that have accumulated. Separated the strips into colors and will make some blocks with them. I just need to get things cleaned up and out.

I have officially given up my fight against my shoulder and lower back. I will be heading to a chiropractor next week. Hoping the one I saw a few years back takes my insurance. Thani can get back to sewing.

It is beautiful here for one day, 62 degrees and the sun is shining, tonight it gets cold again and we will have to cover allthe plants again.

We went with dh’s sister and bil to dinner yesterday and both seemed to be doing much better than the last time we saw them. Mentally and physically for his sister and BIL ate his full meal both positive signs. They didn’t mention selling this time so who knows.

Have a great day and stay warm

Good morning. Terriamn, hope the chiropractor can give you some relief. SBG, we lost a few branches in the ice but the trees held firm. We’ll see what tomorrow’s winds bring. We’ve got about 3 inches of snow and now it’s sleeting. This is going to turn rock hard in our single digit temps beginning tomorrow. Not good but we are fine. We have nowhere we need to be except home, warm and snug.

I’ve been doing a little crumb quilting and also working on BH’s leader and ender. I’ve only got a few blocks done but it’s something. My Juki finally goes in for service next week, that’s if I can get out of here! lol. I’m using my little travel machine and it’s doing a good job. Will snap a pic or two when the sun comes up.

Hope everyone stays warm and safe.

Good day to you all, been traveling since Christmas as my husband is between jobs. New job starts on Monday. Mostly down south on a cruise. We did two 14 day cruises back-to-back. Mostly warm weather where I went. Returned home early to get ahead of the snowstorm. We were supposed to stay with my sister a couple of days on the way home, but with the weather man predicting lots of ice, we changed our plans. We got 12 inches here is western PA and it won't melt anytime soon because of the fridged temps. My family in NC and GA are now getting the snow today.

Just wanted to check in with you all and glad to see all is well. Hope you are staying warm and dry.

It's cold here, but not as cold as some of you have. Its 30 degrees, was 20 overnight. We aren't supposed to get any precipitation. So staying inside is a great idea! Hubby's kept the fireplace going, and it looks like a beautiful sunny day outside.
Hope all my Boom buddies stay snug and warm.
