Oh my - another new to me project. Those Dorsey buttons look addicting. Would make great embellishments on shirts or whatever. Thanks for the idea!
I am playing around with Sashiko. Not sure I can get those stitches straight enough . But will play!
Finished up putting together the one set of boom blocks. Have so many UFOs to complete but no energy. Maybe tomorrow

Woohoo! Thanks for the notice. You are going to love all these new candies, I'm sure. Since you are whipping through projects, you need new candies to play with. Happy Birthday all month long!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m thrilled the weekend is here - it was a very busy week at work and my brain is tired.

i had a completed top sitting around for at least two years that I delivered to a longarmer on this week, one I didn’t feel like quilting myself, it is Awesome Ocean by Elizabeth Hartman. Every time I make one of her patterns I say “never again” but they’re so cute I can’t resist. So many tiny pieces that need to be snowballed to another piece. Thank heavens for the Folded Corner Clipper ruler. That little ruler has changed my quilting life! 😍 I’m curious to know what tool or gadget you can’t imagine not having for quilting?

Julie, my least favorite but most necessary tool is a seam ripper. lol. I’ve gone through a few in my years of quilting as they do get dull. I love my Add a Quarter tool for paper piecing. And there are my Acrylic Squares for precisely squaring up blocks. I have lots of other rulers and tools I seldom use. Lots.

My favorite tool is my 6.5 Inch square. It is followed very closely by the 6.5 X 2.5. I use both of these every day and because they are small they travel easily.

    Good question, Julie G.

I agree with the 6.5x6.5 ruler. That one is actually fairly new to me (in the last year) and I prefer it for all my cuts that it works for.

I also love using my large 10x10 wooden clapper for making my blocks super flat.

Great question Julie, my favorite tools are the loc block rulers, mainly the one to make 4.5” flying geese. They are easy to work with and give me precise points.

Hello all!....hmm, favorite tool. All the square rulers for checking block sizes and trimming blocks. I use my 2.5-inch square on candies to check for accuracy after cutting. And, I've read others don't love these, but I really like the June tailor Shape cut tool. Yes it flexes and you have to hold it down hard to get accurate cuts. But don't you do that with a ruler anyway? It makes bulk cutting so much faster as long as I pay attention and don't get carried away trying to do more layers or a bigger piece than it can handle accurately.
