I don't have a TV, so I listen to podcasts on YT on the computer or Kindle Fire, or a video that I don't need to look at, just listen to. Quite often I default to Judge Judy!!

I watch all new quilt videos on youtube. Mostly I listen to theology lectures.

I have an Ipod radio in my sewing room with books, songs and even the bible on it so I just let it play whatever comes up next.

I like to listen to pop/rock music of the 60s/70s/80s. It's familiar, which sure brings back memories as I'm sewing on quilt borders, etc - and it's less distracting than newer music (where I have to skip annoying songs frequently).

I also listen to audiobooks (free from Libby through my library) and I mostly like historical British detective fiction. That seems strangely specific when I type it out... Mostly because it's slow moving, cerebral, lots of descriptives and a nice slice of history included. Fave author: Charles Todd, with main characters Ian Rutledge and Charles Lenox.

My husband can tell how well the sewing is going depending on how loud the music is or how fast I've speeded up the audiotape, LOL.

I enjoy listening to video essays or just silly commentary content on YouTube. The kind of material that's entertaining to listening to while I'm mindlessly pressing or chain piecing a hundred strips, but I won't miss out on too much if I zone out while focusing on something fussy with my piecing.

I love audiobooks and usually have one going while I sew. Sometimes I have Judge Judy on my laptop. You don't have to look at those folks, just listen. That's a trip for sure!
And music. I like a lot of genres.

I'll occasionally put the TV news on, since I don't have to see it. I have it quiet when I'm trying to figure something out. I used to listen to a lot of audiobooks, but it seemed like more and more of them were becoming rejects. It's hard to know what to choose in an audiobook. I listen over and over to my Lord of the Rings audiobook; it's 64 discs in total, so it lasts a long time. My other default option is tapes I've made off of a local, non-commercial radio station, mostly of a Sunday show of what they call Americana music, which is a wide variety of types. Happy to have any recommendations of audiobooks or authors! They're switching a lot of them from CD to what they call 'playaway,' which I haven't made an effort to figure out yet.

I often listen to audio books or listen/watch YouTube history documentaries. Other options are old movies that I have seen before so I don't have to watch, just listen. I love the sound of voices around me and, well, I learn new things while I am stitching away and filling my time. Oh, I do listen to some of the longer pod casts from time to time. It is like attending a lecture but I don't need to take notes.

I usually will just put on my headphones, set up my iPad and put on music or an ID true crime show.
