WMUTeach - both quilts are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing
Janice - I can not imagine 35 in one room with the chit chat and noise. So glad you can do it - and go home to sleep!
AZ is breaking heat highs all week. It has been nice for these old bones !! We have friends coming to AZ to get out of the unseasonable weather on east coast.

The retreat looks good, Janice! Everyone busy! The little red Janome looks great and has all those stitches. Your idea for crumb blocks set in the chandelier pattern is genius! I want to see that one...

WMUT, Love the quilts! I love a big one-block quilt. The "Stretched Stars" is sweet too. I've been thinking of using some of my 1930s prints to do one of those. I have an old one made of shirt fabrics that I cover with on the couch every evening and I love it.

I'll go shop hoppin' in the 'Sip with the girls at a later date. The places they are going on Friday don't interest me, but there are some towns I would like to go to. We'll see how successful I am at stash selling in the meantime. Last week I made $315 culling fabrics on Facebook. At this rate I can buy a new serger, yay!

I am glad you mentioned the Sip, SBG. I haven't gotten any emails about it from anyone and haven't been in any shops recently so wouldn't have seen it there either. I've got plenty of news regarding the Texas and Indiana hops, lol. I can't go on those this year. But I might be able to squeeze in a couple MS stores this month. Congrats on selling some of your stash! That will give you more room in addition to your new serger.

I went down a rabbit trail yesterday, twice, looking for Boom fabric. Found one, no two or maybe that one,. Oh goodness that makes three options. Yikes. But what a fun adventure.

WMUT gorgeous work!

I was just sewing around the last star on a large table runner that a friend made for my sister. Ahh finished! Nope ran out of bobbin thread about a quarter way from the start. Decided it was a good time to walk away and rake a break

Janice your retreat looks like so much fun

Good morning. It was a busy week! Retreat was terrific but I only went two days rather than three. I got hit with severe allergies and I felt miserable on the last morning so I begged off. I spent a few hours sitting with my neighbor and her daughter. It’s now part of my routine. Yesterday was “interesting”. DH went for a four hour mc ride alone and 2-1/2 hours into it I got a call from him. He’d crashed on a dirt road but was ok! He got some assistance getting the mc up and got home. The bike is damaged but he is miraculously in fairly good shape except for a swollen ankle and bumps, cuts and bruises. Today he’s walking on crutches to keep off that foot and he’s resisting going for X-rays. Ugh. Men. I suspect we’ll be going later today. It could easily have turned out so differently.

WMU, love the quilts! Glad you found some boom fabrics. I have yet to go through mine.

Terriamn, I hate when I run out of bobbin thread on the Juki. I can’t see the bobbin and i sometimes forget to check it regularly. The little Janome has a drop in bobbin so I can easily keep track of it.

Well, I’m back to sneezing so off I go in search of a new box of tissues.

Have a good day.

Gosh Janice! So glad your hubby is ok and was able to get himself and the bike home. I can tell you I would NOT be ok with my hubby going off on a bike ride for 4 hours alone. I'd worry the whole time....
Hope your allergies settle down.
So the big thing here is the month-long shop hop. Groups from the guild have been traveling and shop hopping already. For me, I don't need new fabric right now (or ever!) but the fun of an "outing with the girls" is tempting. I'll probably join in sometime soon.
Working on UFOs today. The new president of the guild has issued a UFO challenge, to finish 5 this year and get a prize for each (a fat quarter). I have finished 2 of my 5, so far.
Hope everyone has a productive weekend!

O-o-o, like the idea of the fat quarter for each UFO finished, SBG!

SBG and WMUTeach, I like the reward of a f4 as a reward for finishing a ufo. If I bought myself one for each finish (that are still waiting to be quilted) I’d end up with multiple yards of fabric! More boom fabric!!!

SBG, I’m trying not to be a “witch” and say, “I told you so” to my hubby. As they say, former performance is not a guarantee of future results. He’s always so cautious when riding but accidents happen and cannot be predicted. This was unforeseen, until it happened. We will be having a serious discussion about going alone, esp on back roads. Happily, he’s doing much better and his ankle looks considerably more normal and he can walk on it gingerly.

Have a good evening.

Janice so sorry hubby crashed, thankful he wasn’t seriously injured . The little trailer I take camping with me is a MC trailer. The owner was in one accident to many, he said his wife nagged him non stop to sell the bike and the trailer.

Had a phone call from my good friend’s dd. She and her son are going to fly down here to surprise her mom and dad. We concocted a story so for her parents, will be home expecting us for an early dinner. Our friend’s are going to be thrilled.
