    Default First Applique Quilt

    I decide to learn machine applique so I started with an easy one. Learn a lot so on to the next one. Second picture is show the quilting pattern I use,

    That is absolutely beautiful! I'm looking at the smaller one in the right hand corner and thinking that it might look really neat on a bag. Did you do turned edge or raw edge applique? You did a great job!

    I LOVE those fabrics! Can I ask where you got them? And the quilting is fabulous!

    GingerK I did machine raw edge applique

    Butterfli19 The fabric is Tim Holtz's Elementsl, the yellow line. It comes in several color lines and actually this was a kit called Scrap Petals.

    I recognized the fabric line as being Tim Holtz, I am a fan of his fabric lines. Absolutely gorgeous quilt and quilting. The placement of your petals on top of the blocks is spot on too with darks vs lights, meaning the arrangement of the blocks, then the petals and not having dark petals over dark blocks and the same with lights, don't know if this was intentional or not, but either way its something I have observed and admire.
