Yeah my prize from WMUT arrived today thank you I love the little cutting mat, perfect next to my sewing machine and the Thimbleberries book. Funny thing is I was at the quilt shop studio for Thimbelberries and one of my first completed quilts was a Thimbleberry sampler. Lynette’s shop was 20 minutes from our lake place. She would have wonderful open houses several times a year and at other times you could be in the quilt store connected to her studio and she’d just invite everyone up to her studio. A very gracious woman.

Terri, so glad the little prize gave you pleasure and a trip down memory lane. I love Thimbleberries fabrics and quilts too. They are so warm and quaint. I hope the patterns inspire you to make another Thimbleberries quilt.

Oh I love old homes ! Electric for all our tools must have been difficult. But yes. I would like to meet up and see our candy.
I have a few small cutting mats. Keep one in my travel bag. Never thought I’d use it, but sure makes things easy.

I fell on the 9th and broke my left humeros. Spent a few nights in hospital where all they wanted to do is give me drugs. I have not used any since being home. I have been immobilized. Even turning my left hand was painful. And oh how difficult it is to just sit! But doctor was very happy today and said he shouldn’t have to do any surgery so it has been worth it.
So post those pictures so I can live through your accomplishment!

Oh no TG! What is the recovery time before you're able to use that arm?

Glad the pain is controlled, TG. It can certainly make it difficult to function with only one arm!

The April birthday gal's, info should be in your PM box. I sent it out just a few minutes ago. If anything is incorrect, please let me ASAP, so I can make a correction before the day is over and envelopes go in the mail.

Today is a true spring day here in the the mitten. Small rain drops scheduled to turn into sunshine this afternoon and it smells like spring. The grass has turned the brilliant green of spring which draws your eyes away from the gray brown of all the trees and bushes. But just you wait, in a few weeks the trees will have little green points on them and those early bloomers will be decorating the landscapes and roadsides with pastel colors.

I am looking forward to see what you all are doing with your 2.5s when you check in this week on the 25th for your 2.5 progress.

Have a lovely first day of spring, everyone.
