Oh, pardon my ignorance! Humerus means a broken arm, not leg! I hope it’s not too painful.

Good afternoon. It’s in the high 30s but beautifully sunny. Took the Ernster for a nice half mile walk, twice.

Been working on the first Boom 33 set of blocks. Trying to find a red that works with all the blocks. I think I found one.

Found out an hour ago that my older cousin has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Not good. I feel so sad as he’s the only cousin with whom I’m in touch and he’s one of the kindest, loveliest and jovial people you’d ever meet. I hope something can be done for him.

Off to the sewing room to cut the sashings.

So sorry about your cousin's diagnosis, Janice. I hope they can do something for him too.

I am also cutting sashings today. I cut all the (I thought) sashings for my Scrappy Burg Sur quilt top, but I cut them all the wrong size! So... starting over. It also calls for tons of little 3.5" 9-patches, which I'm cutting for, as well. We have an Open Sew day at the guild next Tues. and I hope to bring these to work on.

Still cold here... Hubby lit the fire early in the morning. Next week is forecast to be warmer- low 80s. Sounds like perfect weather is coming.

Janice sorry for your cousin’s diagnosis, hoping he is one of the lucky ones that can be cured.

One of the nicest days ever here in the Valley, low 70/‘s. I transplanted my cactus I have been babying for a year from a container directly into the ground. Then removed the old soil in my planters and repotted my Christmas Rose and Crown of Throns Crossing my fingers to come back next year and they will be alive.

Purchased additional fabric for the next boom to go with the Moda Rodeo fabric, washed it and hung outside. The fabric was dry in 10 minutes. After I catch my breath it will be time to head into sewing room to cut and bag it. I still haven’t had the chance to take a picture of last boom’s top. Like to take the pictures outside for better light but it has been too windy.

Well… it’s been quite some time since I’ve been on the board!
We recently moved out of our 900 sq ft 1928 home that we remodeled. Let me just say… remodeling is something I will never do again 😅—but it was definitely an experience I’m glad we had. Now we’re in about 1,700 sq ft and honestly feel like we’re living in a mansion! The dogs are especially thrilled with the huge yard 🐶🌿

And because life likes to keep things interesting… yesterday I somehow managed to give myself a papercut on my right eyeball 🤦‍♀️ Yes… you read that right. Pulled a ledger-sized sheet from the printer and it flipped right into my eye. Seeing a specialist tomorrow, so say a little prayer for me!

On a happier note, the weather here has been beautiful—high 90s yesterday and today ☀️ Hoping to finally get my garden in the ground this weekend. My sister has everything started in her greenhouse, so I’ve got a great head start 🌱

Hope everyone is doing well! I’ve missed being on here and can’t wait for the next BOOM 💥🧵

We have missed you, Hav! Glad your move is behind you.... I hope your eye is all healed up by the time you see the specialist.

Minimum sewing today. I am coordinating a funeral luncheon. I hope to squeeze in some hand work time to finish up my AQS Challenge quilt project. It is due on Monday, so tick, tick, tick.

Take pleasure in today whether is is in you sewing area or with friends or family.
