    Default Sylvia's Quilter's Quarters review

    Hi Folks,
Daily reader here but not a frequent poster. Wondering if anyone has purchased from the subject vendor and if so, your experience with fabric quality and/or shipping experiences.

I've been asked by a good friend to make a quilt for newest grandson's Christening in mid-April (Yikes!) with the theme of 'cowboys and blue'. This vendor seems to have a nice selection of cowboy fabrics - more so than any other's I've found in my online searches.

Would appreciate any info or feedback.

    Thanks.

Looks like a nice local shop (I know, not local to you), sorry no direct experience.

When I'm searching for available themed fabrics, I've had good luck with Fields, a small chain in Michigan. It just happens that I discovered them through internet searching (mostly looking on amazon) and didn't realize they were in the Hubby's old home town for a number of years. I didn't search enough to see if we could match manufacturer's/pricing or not, but I have ordered from them several times with good response.

Yeah for Fields Fabrics. Born & raised in SW MI so I am very familiar with Fields. Worked there for 1-2 yrs before moving to CO & of coarse lowered my paycheck each week. It's 1 of the stops I make each summer when I go back to visit.

Yea, for Field's #2! I am fortunate to live about 10 minutes away from one of their locations. I also shop from time to time at another site a couple times a year when visiting friends near the big lake, Lake Michigan. Lovely folks at all sites. Most of the sales folks are just like us, "sewests". Each store is slightly different but they are marvelous at locating fabric that you want that may be at another shop. They will send it to your home address or bring it into your local store so you can confirm it's just what you want. Good quality fabric whether you are quilting, making a garment or recovering your couch, They have it all and are willing to give you attention so you're confident when you leave that you have the correct materials and tools.

I don't work at Field's but what a pleasurable place to shop.

I ended up ordering from Sylvia's. Waiting now for my order to arrive. Hopefully it's nice quality.
