Just about done with my Rick Rack quilt for the quilt auction coming up early next month. Had a week of no quilting due to fiddling with the motor wheels on the robotics and screwing it up royally. But with patience and perservernce I got it working again. Took a whole week to figure it out, now I won't touch it again after that hard lesson.
Anyway, I'll have this quilt off the frame sometime today and then a small wall hanging goes on for custom quilting, again for the quilt auction if I can get it done in a couple days. Then my French Braid I'm making for my own full size bed. Problem is I have no idea how to custom quilt it so if any of you have done a French Braid and quilted it yourself or had it custom quilted, could you show me some photos as I'm clueless how to tackle this baby. Here's an old photo of with before I added the sashings and border around the entire quilt. The sashings are one of the green fabrics and the border is the solid black fabric.
I was able to get the on point geisha blocks to meet in the center of the bed luckily and until it's completely quilted, I won't know if I'll need to make pillow shams or not but I know there will be a couple throw pillows made with the smaller embroidered geisha designs just to use them up. I stitched out the geishas maybe 20-25 years ago so it's about time they got used up. Thanks for any suggestions you might have. I already have an idea for the on point blocks figured out.

I didn't realize it until I had put the sashings and border on that I switched the 2 left ones around but I'm not about to rip it all out just to get them switched. It's my bed quilt and I can live with the mistake. I doubt most folks will even notice it.
