Terriamn, My husband put so many bird feeders around our yard that bird seed is now a line item in our budget and we have about 20 sunflowers growing up around the bird feeders.
I was hoping to get my grandson’s quilt done before the squishy arrived but that’s not happening. I’m doing cool feathers on one border and I’ve only got one of the four borders done. I think about 10 more hours should finish that quilt. I’m a very slow sewist.
I also made a princess seamed top, but I’ m waiting on the buttons to arrive. I’m going to try a singer machine someone gave me to make the buttonholes. I’ve never been able to get my Janome to make five good buttonholes in a row. I had to do a lot of alterations on that pattern to get it to fit right. I had to make a muslin, practice garment, out of old sheets before I was willing to cut into my nice fabric.
I downloaded a German pattern for a double layered skirt. It’s pretty easy and I’ll make it tomorrow. (That will probably take me two days
. ). I’m making music festival clothes right now and it’s pretty fun. Mostly purple.
I hope everyone is healthy and ready to sew. I’ve been doing much more sewing than usual and can’t wait to get your fabric.

Good morning, I'm toiling away on your packages. Definite Monday mailing! I'm going to be making up your labels shortly and you all will receive emails with the tracking number. Be sure to double check the address and let me know if anything needs to be changed. Thanks! Oh, FYI, those with two sets, other than Hav, will be getting a padded envelope instead of a medium box so there will be a bit of savings there.

Yesterday I commented on what a gloomy day it was here, later in the afternoon we had a quick moving storm move through. Lots of wind and hail, but the hail was pea size so damage to my emerging flowers.
So far I have 88 8.5” 4 patches completed, running out of scrap squares. Will put it on hold till after this boom, it has me charged up and ready to work on our blocks.
I also learned something new yesterday, that the part of the block that has a square and 2 triangles sewn to it is called a Cat’s Cradle unit. Who knew?

Me again. OK, labels are all set up. I'll take everything to the post office first thing Monday morning and by mid to late week, you'll have your F8s. What a relief!
Now I'm off to add the last few pix to the gallery.

Pretty block, Terriamn. Sounds like you’ve found your quilting mojo again. Any idea what you’re going to do with your four patches?
We’re in a drought and we’re getting an hour’s worth of light rain this morning. I’m sure the ground will drink it in. A friend gave me some irises yesterday. We’re going to try to plant them. I hope they’ll take. She thinks they’re purple which will be wonderful with the yellows she gave me a couple of years ago. Happily, so far the deer are leaving them alone.
Enjoy your day.
Enjoy your day.

Mjp, I guffawed at your bird seed line item as we should have one as well. We have multiple feeders and between the birds and the squirrels, we go through a lot of seed. It’s well worth it to us as we get so much pleasure from them. These days, it’s the pileated woodpeckers that really get me excited. They’re finally comfortable enough to come down to the double suet feeder frequently and eat despite their shyness.
I’m impressed by those who sew garments. My few meager attempts were minimal successes. My poor machine, bought for maternity tops and children’s clothes decades ago, sat unused until I discovered quilting. Hope you will share your finishes with us.

Janice I have no idea what I will do with the 4 patches yet. They are all pressed and put away, will need to accumulate more 4.5” squares of fabric.
Yuck it is 32 this morning and we had a dusting of snow. Hubby mentioned how much stiffer he is here in the cold after going about his daily tasks. He’s not a happy camper. Me, I just hide out in the house.
Janice we have a pair of pileated woodpeckers, they are the highlight of our day. Even friends who aren’t into birds love watching them, the way they tower over all the other birds.
Have a great day

Hi Ladies, so looking forward to getting your fabrics later this week. I have been pulling out my favorite pattern books.
it is chilly here in western PA. Good day to finish a boom quilt for a friend. I will post soon.
