I took a moment to calculate my "IN" and "OUT" for April and my IN was 2.5 yards (a back for a UFO that is going out to a long arm quilter) My OUT was 27.5 yards. This will likely be my last big OUT for the year. I am getting down to the place where there isn't much I want to give away or that I can't put to use as backs etc.

Two quilts were finished and one more top finish although I don't count that until It is really ready to give away. My guideline for myself..

I am pleased with my year to date total and can relax and just sew up a storm and continue to purchase what is needed to finish the large number of started projects.

Time to sew!

I made it for the Challenge this month and year. I finished the March challenge and the April. Now on to the next challenge.

I am sending the May challenge a day early because, I will be leaving for my spring quilt retreat tomorrow and may or may not have a moment to post the challenge number.

May's challenge is #3.

For me that is a collection of poorly finished blocks that were given to me about 13 years ago. I made a quilt for a friend with the best of them, now the left overs have been stewing in my UFO basket since then. Time to serve them up. Plenty for a quilt but will likely need some block repair. Stitch on Challenge team and show us your progress from time to time. .

I achieved my April challenge as well! In fact, I finished TWO quilts: The April quilt: Meadowsweet, AND the bonus Mathemagical quilt with Aussie fabrics that I let myself start. I’ll post pictures when I get a chance!

My #3 is a silly strings quilt called “Dragons in Space,” and I’m looking forward to finishing it!

(But first…I, uh… let myself start another quilt, using a fabric collection I’ve had sitting around for oh, over 15 years or so? So at least it still kinda counts as a UFO!)

Yeah, I started or will be starting on at my retreat. A graduation quilt for a family member. Cut 50 blocks to finish this weekend. Yup, I can do it AND finish #3 or at least I will try my hardest. Good to have friends along for the crazy UFO ride.

Come on team, tackle those UFOs.
