We left home at 5:03 this morning, 3 minutes behind schedule. So far roads have been great, a few raindrops here and there and traffic has been moving the entire time. Lots of time to browse the gallery.
HAV so sorry about your BIL, hopefully someone is staying with your sister and helping with all the paperwork and details that
need to be taken care of. When my sister’s dh passed away Libster guided the two of us. We were deeply grateful for the support and kindness she shared with us. I know your heart is breaking for your sister

Home from retreat. Took three blocks Boom Blocks, started three blocks, finished none. Retreat is not a good place for me to work on blocks I guess. I need to have my stash close at hand just in case it is needed. Yes, it was needed. I did make 5 pillow cases for donation and 40+ four patch square in a square blocks. Oh and I have half of the needed blocks for the graduation quilt that is on deck to be be finished next.
Guess I should unpack and replace all of the tools etc. that I traveled with. Then a little snack and off to sleep in my own bed. There's no place like home, there's now place like home, there's no place like home. ZuZu is ready for some cuddles too.

Glad you made it home safely from retreat, WMUTeach. Hope you had a good time. Sounds like you had a productive session. Be sure to check out the gallery. Blocks are popping up for you.
Terriamn, hope you made it to your stopping point safely.
I’m watching two male mallards, chasing each other, showing off for the female. I guess she hasn’t made up her mind on which of the suitors will be her companion. The pond can be entertaining.
I have three more blocks cut out. That leaves three more to decide upon but I’ve got one total redo. I’m just unhappy with the fabric I used for Bibliostone’s. That’ll be the last one I believe. It would be the one with a lot of small pieces that I have to frog. Oh, well, I’ve got lots of time to do it.
Hope you all will have a pleasant week ahead.

Lstew, thank you for my blocks! Yes, they are both great.
Hav, good to hear from you! So very sorry about your BIL's death. My heartfelt condolences to you, your sister, and the whole family.
WMUT, I agree. Retreats are too much fun, but probably not the right setting to get serious sewing done. Pillowcases sound like the perfect thing to make there. Glad you enjoyed it.
