Welcome aboard; my daughter and her family live on Oahu; I hear fabric is hard to find on the island? You will finds lots of inspiration here; this is a group of wonderful people willing to cheer you on and help you with whatever question you have. They will at times even make you laugh until you cry - that is just an added bonus!

Oh my, I am overwhelmed with the welcomes. Thank You So Much. Wish I could send some sunny weather, but right now we are having a storm pass over us. Yes, we do get winters. Not so much in the resort areas, but we live at the 1500' above sea level elevation and we do get cold temperatures! I have my fleece wear and a sweater on today - it's about 60 degrees, but that's also our inside temperature - we get to leave all the windows open. But at least we know that it passes quickly and soon the sun will shine again! I'm working on establishing a website for our guild so will post it when it has more information on it. Again, thank you (mahalo) everyone and will look forward to checking in with you.

Welcome Turtlegirl: Glad you joined us. Living in Maui might make it very hard to stay indoors and sew with all that beautiful tropical sunshine and ocean breezes OUTSIDE. Is your sewing machine portable so you can go outside with it? You'll learn lots here and will probably teach all of us alot, too. Enjoy!
