Our guild puts on a day out. We fix goody bags, serve food and had 13 vendors. There were 240 people in attendance. We've done this for quite a few years. It's a lot of work but everyone enjoys themselves.

Finished my fun and done Christmas quilt. Still have the applique to do. Will post a picture of the quilt when I have time.
It was a good day, even if the weather was yucky!! Just rain, no snow...at least for now!

The black flies you spoke of, we call gnats. Pesky is not the word for them. DH found that used vanilla on the skin helped to keep them away. Always carried a bottle on his machine. My lilies are coming through. It snowed about an inch last night but it's all melted now. Have a great day. I worked on my great-grandson's quilt and accomplished a lot.

I was at the quilt show in Springfield today also! It was lovely...better than the last two I've been to. I started my morning online on Quilters TV watching a few of the videos. Then DH and I drove to Springfield. He dropped me at the show and I spent several hours walking around looking at eye candy. I had a great time. DH then picked me up and after lunch we went shopping for an anniversary ring to celebrate our 30th later this year. I just wanted something small and simple to complement my small, simple engagement ring. I'm not very flashy, and I also don't like to spend a great deal on jewelry. I didn't intend to select one today but we found one I really liked, very simple with small diamonds and two saphires, and a really terriffic price. So it's being sized and I get it next week. So, I've had a wonderful day! I think we should have National Quilting Day more often!!!
