:) Thanks Millie

jljack, I thought about that too. I'll have to do some research and find the hospice care that services our little town. There are a few nursing homes locally too.

I will more than likely do Hospice. Took my jeep in for its regular service earlier this month, and was talking to a lady that was having her vehiccle serviced, and she actually was one of the Hospice workers involved with my next door neighbor before he passed last October. I was telling her about the quilt I made for him, then one for his wife, a quillow for the oldest GD, and a baby quilt for the new GD, which he made a promise he would be here to meet her, and he was, passed a week later.

This is a "Tossed Nine Patch". I used left over fabrics but bought the backing and border. I will be giving it to the local Relay for Life to raffle.

This is a baby gift that I made from stash fabrics, I even used some left over batting. It is truely a "free" gift.

I have a whole bunch of colorful nine patch blocks that I have recieved from a swap on another site. I was thinking about making some of them into stuffed annimals. I have heard of using old quilts and recycling them. I guess the best thing to do is to at least put a backing on the blocks and no batting as I need to be able to turn small tubes for arms and legs.

annmarie - at your suggestion here is my first quilt finished - the crumb block quilt for my nephew...each block is made up of scraps donated to me by one of our guild members who was returning to the U.K. for the summer...she is going to be so surprised to see what I made from them!! :D :D
