It is more fluffier and brittle than the peanut brittle. But making it with peanuts and the chocolate sounds really good to me. I guess I too will have to put some nuts in it.

when I lived in England, I used to buy this (without the chocolate) at fairs and markets - it was called Cinder Toffee. I love it but after a while if you eat too mluch it makes your tongue sore!

Wow! I forgot all about this candy. It's been years and years since I had any. Thanks for sharing and bringing back wonderful Christmas memories.

I found out yesterday, my mom said that sometimes the store would have sponge candy written on the package to. But it was the same candy.

When Walmart was putting out thier valentine candy my mom and sister found what I call angel food candy or sponge. What walmart had is called Honeycomb. But it was $5.00 for a small skinny box. I waited until today and got a box half price. Yep, it is made just like it. But I think even when you buy the ingredients and make it yourself I feel you still get more than what is in the box from the store.
Has anyone seen it when you were shopping in the valentine aisle?

I'll check the walmart we go to for the candy. They had a bunch of Valentine stuff and now they are having the Easter candies. They sure do push the holidays.

I was told at one walmart that they all don't have the same stuff. So you may have to look at a couple of them.
