    Thank you very much. The block is called 700 MEMBER CELEBRATION STAR by Carol Doakes. It was on her website as a freebee.
    From the printed fabric I only have 1 yard and I can't find it any where.That was all they had left. I bought it Kidron, Ohio at the MMC. A Mennonite second hand store.

    First I have to say your block is truely wonderful. I love the colors and design.

    But, I got this feeling I had seen the shape somewhere before.
    Then it came to me.


    I reminds me of a metal that the russian zar would wear while in military dress. Anyone else get that from this??

    This is so beautiful I actually said so out loud---in an empty room! Your fabric choice is fab---looks like something the Crusaders should have had!
    Is this from a pattern that's available somewhere?
