New Poll Question for week of May 1st
#92
My daughter is 47. I made her a crib quilt out of 2' squares of all the baby clothes I made for her. I made gowns and sacques out flannel and cut out the squares and hand sewed them together and tied the quilt. I still have it and it's had a lot of TLC! I also started a bed quilt about the same time which was to difficult for me so I packed it up then (that's been 42 years ago) and only recently found out I still have it. I would like to finish it but still don't know what I have to do to finish it. I started "quilting" 18 mos. ago. I make a hand made table topper and the "What Dog?" wall hanging I posted on the QB. I started a Stars, Crosses, and Crowns quilt 18 mos. ago and still am struggling with it. I don't have any mentors or anyone to teach me so I am learning through trial and error but haven't given up yet. I do so love quilting even though I am not very good at it yet but will finish the big quilt and post it on the board. It's been a great 18 mos. of fun, joy, and anguish but am keeping on keeping on....

I have been sewing and quilting for the better part of the last 50 years, and will continue to do both for as long as the Good Lord will let me. I love all facets of sewing, not much I haven't tried in one way or another. Same with quilting, I have tried many different styles, some I like better than others. As my dad always said, "Jack of all trades, master of none." But I sure love to practice!!
