Chenille bedspreads
#93
I had one given to me by my grandmother and used it until the cheniel wore off. Then I made a quilt cover and turned it into a quilt with a huge "B" quilted in the middle and surrounded by strips of material. It was backed with 6" squared given to me. I was quilting and piecing before I know what it was all about. The good old days of ignorant bliss!!!!

At the very first garage sale I went to this year I found a crib size one for $5. It has a basket in the middle and is a pale yellow color. I have spent the last month trying to figure out a way to make it into a quilt without damaging it. After reading all the posts I guess I will just leave it alone.

I love them. My parents always had one on their bed. Yes...lots of memories. I collect them now. I want to make a jacket out of one of them. I get them from garage sales and weave rugs with them on my loom. I get them cheap because I can use them even if they are not in good shape. The rugs are great and feel really good on bare feet. Lots of people use them for bath rugs.

How interesting ! So, to use them, you must have to take them apart for your loom ?? I personally "collect" way too many things. but, that's what makes me me, right ? Love the people on here, such variety and tallent !! send pics !
