All that love and care and now you are so disappointed!!!! I think you should go ahead, pick out your pattern and give it a try. It might be the best thing ever!!!???

This is a good place to start if it really bothers you. I suppose it would bother me to if it happened to me. But I think it looks neat and that you should just use it. It will be gorgeous no matter what you do.

Karen, you have a tone of replies and honestly I have not read them all. I think your fabric looks very similar to batik. I am wondering if it won't be just fine cut up. It may even give your quilt more dimension. Just a thought. Good luck. Let us know how this turns out. Yolanda Wood River

I see what you mean, but agree with many others that once you get it cut and start working with it you won't notice it at all. Still hurts, but it can be saved.

I am wondering if you put a dryer sheet in with your fabric, and if you did you should be able to remove those spots. That can happen with dryer sheets. I used shout on a shirt I had and it came out. Just a gentle rub.

I would wash the material again without soap then rinse with a vinegar rinse in the water. If there is any residue from soap it will take it out....

I just had some marks on a red piece even though I use the Shout Color Catchers. So back in the wash it went with just a small amount of detergent - just 2-3 TBSP. And the dark spots came out- luck??? So run it back through the wash and then use it- As quilters we look for tonals all the time, don't we? I am sure when you are done with it that we will all think it is beautiful. And if you don't remind us about the fabric, we may not notice at all.

I would favor using the fabric. So many of today's ready-made clothing has variations in the colors that it might be indicative of the fabric when you bought it. A possibility? Anyway, I think you should use it and not think worry about it. Then after it's completed, give it a gentle wash again for your finished product.

You now have a unique fabric; unrivaled by any other. Use it as is & FROG will let it all work out. As many on this site have said to me & many others, sometimes mistakes turn out soooooo well! Try a block & see-can't hurt anything.
