    When I step on the pedal and nothing happens, I try again, then, uh-oh, turn it on!! So frustrating!!

    the singer 401 is a good machine ,every machine repiarman has told me that was best machine singer ever made . I have been usssseing mine since 1958 and it still sews perfect ,I've had it serviced several times.I've had others but none compair to it .

    I know somebody (not me! LOL!) who somehow managed to plug a power strip into itself, and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. :lol:
