Electric Bill For July
#91
We are near Dayton, Oh with the heat in the 90's for an extended time with heat indicies in the 100's. Ours was $158 for 1700+ sq. ft. We just changed suppliers, which saved us $30 this past month. We keep the temp at 78 24/7 and keep the blinds closed when the sun is on them. When we renovated the house, we insulated very well with good windows. It will probably be a little higher on the next bill. There are just the 2 of us, which helps.

ours for July was $215, Aug was $280. We have two units ... one unit is only a year old... it cools the new addition we built on... The other unit is 9 years old and not very efficient....I'm not looking forward for the September bill .... day 43 of triple digit temperatures.

Our bill for July was $239 for 1800 sq ft and we keep the thermostat on 78 while we're home and 80 during the day. Can't recall the last time the high temperature has been below the upper 90's, and is usually 100+. I'm sure our August bill will be higher, but I wouldn't want to live without the AC.
