I forgot to add that I started this quilt back in '87, put it away for quite awhile.......then once I started it again found it was a good thing to take to appts, meetings, etc.

    Yea...... what she said.
Plus I just found one... 15 plus years old. Before I had even heard of rotary cutting. Was using cardboard templates....UGH! I thnk I will make that a priority this week.

When I first started I finished a quilt before starting another one. Well forget that process. I have two I'm hand quilting on. 4 tops that need backing, 3 that I'm currently working on. My husband asks how many quilts do you plan on making and how many do you need? One woman at quilt class told her husband it is not what is needed but what is wanted.

How many quilts do you need? Oh my, just tell dh it's not the amount, but how much time it utlilizes that keeps you from nagging on him to get things done. Lets see, how often does he go out, how often do you sew stc. He has his thing, you have yours and together you have mutual activities that keep for a healthy marriage. Of course, you can explain to him that you can take the money invested and the time and go buy clothes, go on vacation, go play around, drink etc. He may like you better the way you are and what you are doing.

I usually have several projects going at one time. I don't consider them UFOs unless I have quit thinking about working on them. I usually have several more in the planning stage. Right now I am working on two quilts for cancer patients, I have a wall hanging and a bed size quilt top made but not sandwiched or quitled. I also have a bed size quilt I am in the process of quilting on my home machine. I have another bed size quilt that I have made a pattern for from one of my daughter's design which I have bought the fabrics for and plans for a baby quilt for a friend which I have not started yet. Recently I have begun working again on a UFO that I began nearly 10 years ago. I started hand quilting it with invisible thread which didn't turn out to be invisible on the black background. I plan to remove the quilting I did and quilt it with black thread. I always have more ideas and plans than time.
