I finally was able to make it to the post office before they closed today. So one set of Prairie Queen blocks are on there way (#49 on your list Colletta). sorry I cannot find my cord to transfer the picture from my camera.

Thanks for doing all this work. I wonder how you are going to sort through all those blocks! Have fun and look forward to getting them back.

I only have 10 more blocks to sew together. All the piecing is done except the final put together. I was doing the Lover's Knot from quilters cache but it is very similar to the Churn Dash that I made for my other set. So, I just spun the corner blocks around and came up with an alternative block. I should have the rest done by the weekend.

Then all I have to do is wait for everyone's block to get here and then swap and send to everyone.

I already have my sashing and border material. I'm using orange as an accent color (sashing and small inner border) and another black and white fabric for the larger outer border. I'll probably use the orange for the binding. Not sure. Our school's colors are orange and black. Who has spirit? I do!

I think that's the hardest part of the swap- what color sashing, border and binding? What is everyone else doing?

I was thinking of gradations of blue. It is going to be our raffle quilt and the color is blue for suicide awareness. the group is "out of the darkness", hence the black and white blocks and blue for the light. Think it works?

Okay. So I'm not the only one. I keep going back to a deep red/maroon inner border and cornerstones. What to do with the sashing and outer border......?

I do like the blue gradations! Very creative thought.
