IMHO the brown draws your eye to the center and the green does not. I like both

Green. Besides the more the husband is involved, the more likely to encourage you to buy more material.

I like both, but if you are going to use only one center color in all blocks, the brown is probably the best choice. (If it was mine, I'd alternate ... they both look so good.) Very pretty Dresden plate!

Although the brown does make it "pop", it also overpowers all the other colours and prints so I prefer the green.

It's softer and lets the other colours/prints share the spotlight.
