Sewing outside on a treadle - that sounds like my idea of a blissful existence. I, too, learned to sew on a treadle, more than a half century plus a decade and a half ago.

Humidity will be an issue if you are not storing in a climate-controlled setting. You don't want to cause rust!

I love using my treadle. Just use it from start to finish on the same quilt. Don't switch between machines....your seam allowance changes! :)
