Soooo…I swear I couldn’t help it. I had to make a block from one of Lstew’s turkey fabrics. I got up at 6am and started on it, feeling just slightly guilty that you all don’t have the fabrics yet and I do. But what’s a quilter to do when the compulsion comes over said quilter? Give in, I say. Give in. So I did. The block is below and it was so much fun to work with those little guys. So here you go, Lstew.
WOW, love love love this block. Stunning. Thank you, I think this will be a quilt I will keep for myself.

Janice, great blocks! Is the blue & green one called corn and beans?
SBG, the careless look cute.
TG, was it you who mentioned flying geese? Have you tried the no=waste method? It's my favorite way to make groups of 4 flying geese.
We have had a day's break from the rain; thunderstorms aren't due until 9:30 tonight. All you on the east coast, keep an eye out for the hurricane. Stay safe, everyone!
all2pieces, do you have a website or tutorial for the no-waste method for flying geese?

Love the little pup - of course there aren't too many dogs I do not like.
The teal and rust colors go great together, stunning block. I love the star as well.

Had a lovely trip with my sisters and Mother. We do a lot of thrift store shopping and there are plenty in and around Charlotte. We visited a Craft resell store that was amazing. I was in a happy place for me. Walked out with some hand dyed yarn, fabric yardage and cross stitch Aida Cloth (hand dyed) for a Halloween picture I want to work on this winter. Spent $24.00 for all of it. Happy Dance. We also eat a lot, mostly snacky foods. Lots of laughter and love.

Ltsew when we visited our granddaughter in Colorado she took us to a second hand craft store. They are such great ideas, we don’t have any that I know of. Love to go thrifting!

Once again no storms but it has been raining steadily all night. Believe me I am glad for that.

Good morning. Henri and Ernie say “hello”. It’s going to be a full on pet day as I’m also taking care of my neighbor’s cat while she’s in Hilton Head. I’m going to her house twice a day to feed Joey and spend a little time with him. Then it’ll be time to walk the dogs. Then, maybe, I can work on blocks.

Four packages are out for delivery today. Woo hoo!

TG, love your blocks!

This morning is baking day because it is cooler outside and the humidity low. One peach pie and six small loafs of banana bread to be used as part of welcome gift baskets for new condo neighbors. I miss baking but no motivation when it is hot, hot, hot!

My Thrift Store visit was a success 6 tops for $26 and then I added a necklace. Three items are good for fall/winter and will give my sparse wardrobe a little pick up. I have been slowly getting rid of my professional clothing as it begins to show its age, and then losing some weight has left me standing in the middle of the closet wondering what to put on every day. Boring clothes that have been around for 10-15 years don't inspire much of anything. Now, some new additions.

I smell pie..... time to check the oven!

It’s official, I’m going to quit quilting today. Forever. Ok, not really but I’m as stumped as I’ve ever been with a block ive made at least five times to the perfect size. Suddenly, having cut my fabric, the last unit isn’t giving me a seam allowance! I’ve checked and rechecked all my pieces and they are all the right size. My seam allowance is a scant quarter, normally perfect for this block. But no. When I add my final pieces to the last unit, no seam allowance at the point. I don’t get it. Obviously I’m doing something wrong but I cannot find it. I guess I’ll step away from it for now and look at it again in a few days. I feel my sanity slipping over this block.

Just had to vent my frustration to boomers who might understand. My friends here wouldn’t get it since they don’t piece. Ugh.

Yay! It looks like mine is one of the packages out for delivery to Janice today.

Been praying for rain! With the heat everything dries out so quickly. But it's dark, windy and thundering outside, so I hope a good rain is to follow!

We get it, Janice! Maybe it's gremlins? Another look at it later and you will surely get it figured out.

Rain has started falling... YAY!

Will post here when they come in. Should be packages for you, Cheese, Ibex and Terriamn. I hope so because I need something to take my mind of the @%^$ block. I’m going to start completely from scratch tomorrow using scrap and see what happens.

So I’ve received and sorted the newest batch. Here’s where we stand. I’ve received F8s from:

All2pieces 1
Cheesehead 1
ibex 1
Janice McC 2
Lstew 2
Sewbizgirl 2
SusieQ 1
Terriamn 1
Travelinggramma 2

Only a handful more to go and I think they’re all in transit.

Thank you all for getting your shipping done so quickly. Makes it easy on me!
