Peppermint, I love the purple and green combo! That's awesome.

Kookla, your tricky #7 block looks really good.
Thank you Pookie. I read everyones post about how difficult it was and I didn't think I could make it work. But Honchey's directions and special notes really helped. I got into a "groove" and could just feel it. But then I lost it.

I totally agree Kooklabell, I usually do large 12 or 16 inch blocks. This has been a real challenge and so much fun after not quilting much in the past few years.
Exactly! I've done some applique to make things pretty, but to actually piece like this... no way! Now look at what I can do!

Does your Kookie rhyme with Pookie? Or, is it something the cookie monster would admire? Inquiring minds need to know.

Kukla, Fran & Ollie are leaning towards baked goods. Just cuz they taste good. Otherwise, Kookie & Pookie could probably create a new fifties style kids show.

I should probably go sew now. 80o

Nice blocks everyone! Peppermint, I like how you used a different fabric for the center of #9. I haven't seen anyone else do that. Looks very pretty that way.

I have to re-cut some of #9. I'm using one of my striped fabrics and the stripes didn't come out right. Tried to make them directional and they ended up perpendicular. My brain thinks it knows right, but I'm finding using stripes to be an additional challenge to these blocks. I'm loving it all though!

Ya know Pookie, I think we could start a new kids show. I'm pretty sure it rhymes - Honchey changed my board name to Kookie. But my guys at work say its cookie with a K because I'm so sweet. :-D ARG! :?
