    It boggles my mind that you attempted this as your first quilt! This is one striking quilt...it's beautiful!!!! You're a real natural at this!

    Thank you for the kind words. I used my 25 year old Kenmore machine to quilt everything except the turned over binding. Glad you liked it.

    It boggles my mind, too! I had great motivation from our quilting group where each Wednesday morning the group asked where I was and how it was going. These ladies do true, hand Hawaiian quilting--everything is done by hand sewing. They were amazed at how I did this on machine. Frankly, I didn't know any other way that I could finish it. Now it's time to learn "real" quilting.
