We gave up gardening when we can buy from the local Farmer's Market all the fresh vegetables we need. My favorite vendors bring bushel baskets of foods I like to can or freeze. I bought two flats of beautiful ripe strawberries this morning. I planted a few strawberry plants and they look pitiful.

Yes, we planted our garden last evening (Monday, May 9). We put out cucumbers, zukes, tomatoes, onions, green beans, lettuce, radishes, and spinach. And...it (the plants) were all still there this morning. Generally, the rabbits get a few things. LOL My brother will plant about an acre of one of the fields near his house with sweet corn. Yummy! Love fresh garden stuff on my dinner table!
