I have daughters that sew... but none have taken up quilting.

Welcome aboard! I think it's wonderful that you have such an appreciation for quilting so early in life :) My children enjoyed playing "fort" under my quilt-frame years ago, but thats as far as it ever got! Three daughters and not one has an interest in quilting..... yet!
Keep up the great work - your Mom will treasure your gift for many many years to come!
