quilter in the making

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I've been out of town since I bought all the goodies and the only fabric I've been able to wash so far is the yardage, which I did before we left. I'm thinking I'm going to combine several of your ideas and wash the hand-pieced blocks gently in the bathtub with some ammonia and a color catcher. The remnants that were in the purchase, I'm going to wash in the pillow cases. Thanks again for all the advice. I'll let you all know how it comes out!
