So sorry to hear of your loss Madbury. Words will not ease your sorrow - please try and take a little comfort that his passing was so quick and painless.

Madbury I am so sorry for your loss. I do not have a pet but know that they do become family. I hope the pkg I sent you brings you some joy during this time.

Thank you kindly for the condolences. I'm grateful I could be there for him until the very end, but it came as quite a shock since he was not ill and as far as I can guess he was 11, 12 years old tops. He was slowing down for sure, but that's to be expected. Anyhow, I know I never took a single day with him for granted (unlike some human relationships unfortunately) and he'll be missed greatly. There are pets (I have another cat and a dog, too) and there are those animals that are just special in a way that can't really be described.

On a happier note, I couldn't be more thrilled with my gift from quiltnut4ever. Beautiful fabrics (two Bonnie & Camille Scrumptuous fat quarters), a half yard of Lori Holt's Bake Sale (love love love this line), a half yard of Apple of My Eye by Quilted Fish (my favorite colors - and polka dots!!), a half yard of Sew Vintage (I love vintage sewing prints and I'm not sure how she knew that), and a half yard of orange and red polka dots on yellow (I can't tell from selvedge what it's from). These are all of my favorite things!! Also a charm pack of My Sunshine, which is gorgeous. She made a lovely quilted basket, filled with candy, embroidery scissors, small elastics for bobbins, a tape measure, and a sewing machine needle. AND also a pattern for an apron, table runner, and placemats. Lillian, I can't thank you enough for your generosity.

I already posted I got my package from bjsmith57. But I had to send another. I just opened the two bundles of F8ths. Love, love the fabrics in them. I had never bought any bundles like this, but I sure will now. Thanks again bjsmith57.

probably not the place to ask this, but since I am not sewing or quilting right now, I am cleaning my scraps up. What is the best size to keep? How wide, how long? Need to make room.

    Thanks everyone

madbury so sorry to hear about your cat, it is so hard to lose a beloved pet.
Jaunita, thank you so much for the lovely package which I received Friday. received a cute snowman scissors, sewing machine needles, rotary blades, candy, peanut m&m's (my favorite), quilter's template, a note book, a Christmas plaque, a darling homemade tote, thread, recipe cards, several cute fat quarters and a pattern book. Thanks for the useful gifts.

I have a ton of scraps too, I started sewing them together at one time and was going to just cut them in 2.5 inch strips. But for those who may want colors separated, some do keep them in 2 inch squares, but I like something bigger myself.

Got my SP package from Bullock2us, and I love it. Ginger I love the block you made for me. The potatoes was awesome to use. I really do love it. I won't be donating that to anyone.

My Idaho quilt block (Love Love It), Good use of fabric, little snowman pad & pen, Kleenex holder, gift card to Walmart, boy oh boy did I have that in the wrong place. LOL! Still will come in use. Oh yeah also a box of Red Hots which I didn't take a pic of on account they are all gone. The nicest card.

You may be a beginner quilter but you won't be for long.

    Love everything.
