I picked my name newquilter10 because I am new, except for the help I have given Mom and one lap quilt I made and the year is 10.

As a child, I wrote short stories and read them to my little sister. Edie Clay was my pen name. My best friend in high school continued to call me Edie Clay ... so when I use it, I smile.

Your area is nice to visit but I am always happy to get back to my transplanted home in SC
Born and raised in Penna
Oops is for the many mistakes I make and have to stop and rip out.
Had I been thinking it would have been Dutch as that is what my mom called me as I talked so fast she could hardly ever understand me.

When my first grandchild was born, I wanted to be called something other than grandma. My mother and father had the same last name when they married (not related!). So I had a Grandma C, a grandma-grandma (my mom's mom). I wanted to be called Nana, but that was my grandson' great grandma's nickname. So I became Nonnie. The quilting part is self-explanatory.

About 20 years ago I used my childhood nickname for email. My name is Terri and my sister pronounced it Toady. I've shied away from using it because of the negative connotation of a toady!
