Speaking of Fons and Porter, did you all see the program where they did circles, applied them to square and then cut in quarters?

I have a whole stack of filters for my old coffee pot -
This would be so fun, esp. with that "applique" way of doing drunkards path.
I can't picture this!? How could you make a drunken path with circles? I'm not very up on blocks, but am very curious about this.

Very cool - thanks for passing it on! I've given this to the newsletter editors to the four guilds I belong to, in addition to an "independent" who does local programs on crafts and accessories made from recycled or repurposed items.

I found a place on the web that shows how to make a quilt using circles sewn together it's http://www.equilters.com/library/jea...gallbaros.html

I think this would be a great way to use up some circles - it would make it resemble a cathederal window quilt.

I think this would be a great way to use up some circles - of course you would have to sew two tog & turn but like the poster said - it would make it resemble a cathederal window quilt.
    Another good idea

Take your circle of fabric[could be crazypatch, etc.] put it on fusible interfacing with the right side of fabric and fusible side of interfacing together.Stitch all the way round. Cut slit on back and turn right side out. Press onto center of desired square. Top stitch around to secure. Cut into 4 egual squares. You now have 4 perfect Drunkards Path blocks.

I use coffee filters all the time in the bottom of my pots when I plant flowers. Lay several layers (2 or 3) of coffee filters in the bottom of the pot before putting the potting soil in the pot. The coffee filters hold the soil in while letting the water drain out through the hole. They do rot away pretty quickly, so I usually use 2 or 3 at a time. Too many more than that and they don't let the water drain well.

I love this idea with using the coffee filters for patchwork circles. Thanks!
