One more thing I feel the need to add...

Having passed the 40 year mark almost two years ago, I've come to rely on my "cheater" glasses to see up close.. especially when "unsewing" or doing hand work.

I never understood why people had to have several pairs of these glasses around the house, in purses, the car..etc...

    Now I do.
....and sometimes I still can't find a pair!

No matter how many pairs of scissors you have you can never find a pair when you need them.

The bobbin thread always runs out two inches from the end of the seam.

Haste makes waste but Murphy's law is part of that equation.

    Great thread!

The colored thread you are using runs out six inches before you are done at 10p.m. and nothing is open so you can buy more and you don't have anything close to that shade in your stash!

Make sure you've got a good variety of threads to work with, including basic neutrals. I think I have every color under the sun... But where's the white?

Ditto and with me, it's LA thread I ordered on line and the LQS only has spools, not cones and one of them costs as much as the cone I just ran out of.

No matter how well you place the pins, ones gonna get you.

Don't leave your visiting DSIL in charge of the puppies for an hour or so when you and DD go to church. The puppies destroyed a new package of batting I'd just rolled on the quilting frame.

I have done this so many times. Gives me the "reds", but I have found out about chopsticks. Take a new pair, break them apart. Put 1 end,(the small one) in an electric pencil sharpener. It will make a great extra finger and it doesn't mind getting burned.
