The quilt is beautiful. I would like to see the red to see what it looks like. I think the white pulls your eye away from the beauty of the quilt.

I agree with bearisgray. The small white square looks out of place to me.
Better with the same size as the border.

    I wouldn't do a corner stone...is it really needed?
    Looks beautiful to me.

I don't care for either of the white or beige. It does pull eye away. Do try red or nothing.

I agree that the binding will "finish" off the little white square in the outer border but I don't think it needs the little white square. It tends to draw my eye away from the beautiful blocks and fancy pieced inner border. The final border is the frame for a beautiful quilt and gives the eyes a chance to rest before being drawn back into the beautiful blocks and pieced inner border.
I agree with this one. Your quilt is Absolutely beautiful Fran!

Have you thought about making the white square in the cornerstone of the outer border the same size as the square in the inner border... the one made out of the rust print?

Once again, that is one gorgeous quilt.

I like this idea too. Otherwise I like the top cornerstone best. What a beautiful quilt.

I think the white is too bright there. Maybe pick up the narrow red border there.
