I'm sorry, you did ask for information and I didn't mean to ignore you, I just didn't answer. Favorite colors are purple and salmon. Love Asian, antique is also very good. Magazines are not so great as I have been trying to reduce the number of them I have right now. Have been marking the patterns in ones and keeping those. I use a post-it note sticky and if there is nothing showing above the pages in the magazine, I am taking them to the guild meetings and leaving them - kinda like abandoning a friend, though. I have a cutsie zipper bag on the sewing machine to work with - perhaps it'll come out cute (keeping it from scraps, though) and I can use it to hold some goodies. I'll try to get that done in the next few days and get it out by month's end. Don't stress QM, I'm not as awesome as you think and I tend to like everything someone sends me (as long as it doesn't need to be watered, fed or walked).

QM, go back about 2 pages and find post that talks about 6"x8" bag to use for mailing or something in that vicinity. Went shopping today and got me some of those bubble envelopes. Will try to use that - have 2 different sizes - depending on what I actually mail.

I had a UFO that I "think" will be perfect for my partner, needs the batting , backing and quilting and then the binding. Ask her what she could use so want to send her this. It won't fit in a 6"x 8" but it will a flat rate envelope. Cleaning out closets today for friend brat and Steve to stay with us awhile, until we find something for them to rent. I needed to do it, it's one of those out of sight out of mind kind of things. Garbage dumpster is full. One more project tomorrow and then I will begin the "UFO" on Sunday. Thanks heavens my partner is finishing hers too, we're in sink so to speak.

It isn't about the size. I only suggested the 8" x 10" as a general idea. if you have a large item then use the right size box or bag to send it. I just wanted to express that one person shouldn't send 50 items and another only send one item. so when you are sending remember this is a small swap and so the items you send should be inexpensive or handmade.

For example I might send a quilt mag I've had a while and a bag of candy. You could throw in one or two small htings also like maybe pkg of cocoa and a measuring tape.

Just use common sense if you are sending something other than or adding to one handmade item. Don't go overboard on the number of items in one swap.

One handmade item is just fine with no extras. This is meant to be a fun time and not a contest to see who can send more. That hasn't happened here but I've seen it happen in other swaps.

I don't want to put restrictions on this.

I started out with this thread by posting some word games. so I wanted to go back to posting one every now and then.

Here is a word search for your pleasure! I'll post the answers in a couple of days.

I found this Blog site and here is a scrappy quilt that is really fun to look at. This would make a great lap quilt.
