How many kits in your stash?

I can't believe I actually went and counted my kits! What was I thinking? 16!! How despressing. UFO's - Let's not go there; probably more than I'll finish in my lifetime; never mind my fabric stash. Somebody will end up with lots of great 100% cotton when I'm gone. Of course, the prints will be out of style; blenders probably won't be used and batiks ... who knows as they change in appearance everytime I look at them. Back to sewing NOW.

I don't buy kits either, I love finding just the right material and I never see just the right material in the kits....but for an emergency..like not being able to get out of the house, it would be wonderful to have one on hand, just in case.

Just one. It was one that I bought for $10 from a little lady that made it herself from pink fabrics. She said it was the "Seven Sisters" pattern. I bought it about 12 years ago and have laid it out twice, meaning to start sewing it together but got sidetracked each time so have never started sewing it. She had cut all the pieces and sewn one block together but did not include a pattern. However, with the one block sewn together I don't think it will be a problem to put it together.

I usually make up my own combination of blocks and fabrics.
I did order a few kits when I first began quilting and was disappointed in the quality of the fabric so I was turned off on them. They weren't from known quilt shops.
Was completely happy with the kit I ordered from Keepsake Quilting about 2 years ago. It was a off centered log cabin quilt, just one huge block that I wanted the pattern of, and it was in just the right colors for a friend of ours.
Haven't ordered but I do like many of the Connecting Threads kits, they seem to have plenty of fabric for the price and many quilters give them good reviews. May in Jersey
