We lost our oldest daughter almost a month ago and I just can't seem to get back into quilting yet. So now you have given me the boost I needed I think. Thank you for sharing your beautiful quilt. God Bless You.
Thank you....it took me a little while, but quilting gives me comfort and my DH loved my quilting and quilts...hope you can get a project started....

Thank you and so sorry for your loss, I know how you feel, I just have to do things he loved...like watch the sunsets, we did that on our place all the time and now I sit and watch the sunset, but I tell him that he is with the painter of the sunsets now and he is showing me.....

Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers! I am working through the day to day, but quilting gives me peace, and comfort....I can see his shop from my sewing room window and I wish I could see him out there working, but, I have him in my heart. He was a precious dear, loving, kind and wonderful man. The next step is to quilt it....he is with me every minute, him and the Lord. Thanks ya'll.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your quilt is lovely and I know your husband would have loved it too. Keep taking it one day at a time, the loss will never go away but it will get easier to face each day with time.

We lost our younger son on May 15, 2005, four days after Mother's Day. His son was born three months later. He used to give me sunflower gifts so I, too love sunflowers. I have a small quilt made of sunflowers, but I really love yours. I won't ever recover from losing him, he was our golden boy, so gifted and loved by all. I will be making a quilt from his shirts, when I can go through his things. I have made two quilts for his son. He knows he has a Daddy in heaven. I may use your pattern, it is so stunning. Good for you, to return to quilting. My thoughts are with you.

it is a lovely memory quilt. my husband passed years ago and besides working a job, i quilt every waking moment. I have lost myself in piecing and quilting and designing. It brings me joy.
