I know exactly how you feel! I've spent money and hours upon hours of time knitting sweaters or socks for people only to have them throw them into a draw, forgotten and unused. This next year I'm going to let each of my brothers and sisters choose a quilt and I know the same anxiety will return over whether they will truly appreciate the time and money that went into each quilt!

Applause to you for taking the quilt back and giving it to someone who loves and appreciates it ! I am with you on not giving the ingrate another gift. I don't think anyone who is that rude deserves a gift of any kind. I wouldn't be surprised if someone that gutsy and rude doesn't ask you where the replacement gift is. If that happens, I would tell her she is not getting one, and I would tell her exactly why.

What an absolutely adorable quilt! How did you applique the hearts and stars on? I'm so glad you had the nerve to take it back from the snotty wench, I don't know as I'd have dared. The way you did it was perfect!

Good, good, good for you. What a brat. So many nowadays just have no "couth", no consideration and are only obsessed with "me". Good manners have disappeared from our culture, pretty much, I fear.

I commend you for the courage to ask for the quilt back from the young lady who was so unappreciative. Your story is wonderful, I love the happy ending and the baby quilt is a beauty and so happy to hear that it will be well loved!
