speaking from experience...rescued dogs totally adore their forever people because they know the other side of the coin. As a forever person, when their personality blossoms your heart just soars and joy overflows. It's a very unique bond between canine and human.

You can see the intelligence in his eyes. Beautiful boy! September is "strutt your mutt" month (see http://www.bestfriends.org for more info) and he looks like he's ready to strutt!
