The square should be 4 1/4 sorry.

QUOTE=skowron5;5689719]I found an easy way to make flying geese if you don't have the rulers. Have one 4 1/2 inch purple square and 4 different b/w 2 3/8 inch squares. Mark on a diagonal on the 2 3/8 squares. Lay 2 squares on opposite corners of the purple square and sew 1/4 inch on each side of your mark. Cut on the mark. Press and it will look like a heart. Place another marked square on the bottom of the heart shape. Sew on each side of your mark. Cut on mark and you will have 2 flying geese. You get 4 from each square when you are done. I think there is a tutorial on you tube. But the measurements above are what you need to get the size flying geese we need.[/QUOTE]

I have the rulers and I'm going to try both ways to see which is easier for me...I cut the 4.5" square and I thought that when placing the 2 squares diagonally the crossover in the center wasn't deep enough...that's why I asked. thanks for responding...

I cut one strip of each purple to start with, so will have all of them in this segment. I got all my purples cut, and most of my black on whites. Good start for today!

Ok, thanks Jeanie...I have 1/2 of the foursies done & the res tof the strips are sewn & need to be cut...I'm cutting squares instead of 2" strips for step 2... I have 16 of the 32 needed pinned and ready to sew... I cannot imagine doing all that little cutting for the flying geese.... will be sewing tomorrow evening and then the cutting of the Black on white rectangles....

I can't believe it! I fell asleep during Quilt Cam last night! Did I miss anything important this time?

Yes. You won the lottery, but you had to call in while quiltcam was still on
